Recently, while on vacation, I woke one morning to spend time by the lake. I was pondering big transitions that were happening in my life. These changes felt overwhelming while also full of promise.  As the morning light filled the sky, one "star" (Venus) still shone bright. I thought of the scripture found in Revelation 22:16 where Jesus identifies himself as "the bright and morning star."  That moment sparked the inspiration behind this painting where Christ is the symbol of hope and the new dawn that is brought by His light can bring us clarity and direction in our life.
